Espressif releases ESP32-S31, a stripped-down Wi-Fi microcontroller

The ESP32-S31 drops Bluetooth and some peripherals from Espressif's lineup, targeting cost-conscious embedded projects that only need Wi-Fi connectivity. For makers building IoT devices, smart home gadgets, or sensor networks on a tight BOM, the lower price point could make wireless projects more feasible at scale.
