Espressif releases ESP32-S31, a stripped-down wireless microcontroller

The new chip drops Bluetooth support and some memory compared to earlier ESP32 variants, targeting cost-sensitive IoT and embedded projects. For makers building WiFi-only devices or shipping at volume, the lower BOM could unlock new project economics.
