HYVE Ether OS is now downloadable: sovereign AI operating system opens its founding launch to buyers
Vibe Software Solutions has flipped its founding launch live, letting anyone who buys the $499 lifetime license download the full agent-native, all-local HYVE Ether OS to their own machine today. No rented models. No per-token meter. No data shipped to a hyperscaler.
WILSON, N.C. — HYVE Ether OS is now downloadable. Vibe Software Solutions has flipped its founding launch live, letting anyone who buys the $499 lifetime license pull the full sovereign, agent-native operating system to their own machine today.
"Buy today and download HYVE Ether OS right now — a full, sovereign, agent-native OS you own outright," the company's launch page now reads. The banner across the top of hyveether.com reads "Founding launch is live." The founder's manifesto, published as a single parchment scroll to accompany the release, opens with the same instruction the company has been circulating for weeks: "Bring intelligence home."
The offer that ships is the one Vibe has been pre-selling since early June: one $499 payment, locked for life, in exchange for a lifetime license — not a subscription — to an operating system whose every AI model runs locally on the buyer's own hardware. The $999.99 public price, and what the company now calls the "public launch," remains scheduled for January 1, 2027. Between now and then, the OS runs as an open beta at Founding Access pricing.
What arrives on the buyer's disk is not a chat app but an entire local stack. Two intelligences sit at the center. HYVE Omega — the multi-model "mind" — routes each request to whichever local model the machine can run, keeps encrypted on-device memory of the user's projects and history, and operates a plan-act loop that verifies its work is actually done before declaring the job over. HYVE MaXXie, the executive-assistant layer, acts under a confirm-gate — previewing what it intends to do and waiting for approval — and produces a tamper-evident cryptographic receipt for every action, so autonomy can be audited rather than trusted.
Around those two run the studios and senses. Creative work: HYVE Mind, Pen, Spark, Frame, Pulse, Stream, STT, Cinema, Cuts, Mocap, Forge, and Document Forge. Defense and signals: Scanner, Network Hunter, Spy, Scope, MELVIS, and Bridge. Communication and play: Messenger, HyveComms, and a 36-game arcade. Memory, governance, and code execution: Vault, One HYVE Identity, Leaper, VUE, and Codelab. Knowledge: 152 unlocked Interactive Labs supplied by the company's free Owens AI Institute, plus Lobby Pro for legislative intelligence. Every organ talks to every other over what the company calls the HYVE Bus — a typed, signed, encrypted message bus that turns the pile of tools into a single organism.
Under the hood are 48 patent-pending technologies Vibe has disclosed across nine domains — from Post-Quantum by Construction and Cell-Sharded Transport in the defense layer to Sovereign OS Architecture, the .hyvedata Archive Protocol, and Time-Locked Decryption in the sovereignty layer, with additional filings covering Omega's decision orchestrator, the Observatory glass-box interpretability surface, and OS-level tracking of the human-vs-machine provenance of executable code.
The pitch that carries all of this is a single line from founder Anthony S. Owens: "The future of intelligence should not be rented; it should be owned." The scroll pushes it further: "A new era of AI begins. One where the intelligence belongs to you and lives with you: on your machine, under your control, no permission required."
The rest of the roadmap has not moved. The open beta window runs through December 2026 at Founding Access pricing; the general public release goes live at $999.99 on January 1, 2027. Forward-looking layers — HYVE Quantum, HYVE Tide, and longer-term mobile, IoT, spatial AR, and direct neural input — remain, in Vibe's own words, "planned directions, not current capabilities."
